On April 26, 2024, the ANPD published Resolution CD/ANPD No. 15/2024, which approves the “Security Incident Communication Regulation (RCIS)” to strengthen the protection of personal data and the accountability of processing agents in the event of a security incident.

As detailed in our newsletter about the subject, the Regulation establishes some new parameters and rules, including objective deadlines for reporting and specifications on the information that must be submitted.

Through Resolution CD/ANPD No. 14/2024, the ANPD has introduced its Process Governance Methodology to support, guide, and standardize internal Process Modelling initiatives.

As set out in the ANPD’s Process Governance Policy, the Methodology is a strategic tool designed to improve processes and meet the institution’s strategic planning, in line with the federal government’s public governance guidelines.

Among the new features is the definition of the competencies and responsibilities of the various ANPD bodies, including the Board of Directors, the Governance, Risks and Controls Committee, and the Process Office. In addition, the document explored fundamental concepts of process management, covering the BPMN cycle, categories, architecture, and process hierarchy, from the value chain to individual tasks.

The ANPD has established its Integrity Program through Resolution CD/ANPD No. 12, of April 9, 2024. This Program is designed to promote conformity of conduct, transparency, prioritization of the public interest and an organizational culture aimed at delivering value to society.

Following the Integrity Program establishment, Resolution CD/ANPD No. 13. of April 9, 2024, created the Committee for Integrity, Transparency, and Access to Information. This is a permanent committee responsible for coordinating, following up, supervising, monitoring, and evaluating matters related to integrity, transparency, and access to the information within the authority, as well as drawing up, following up, and monitoring the plan that will operationalize the Integrity Program.
